"Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin Dies

In what can only be described as a freak accident, "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin has died at 44 years of age. Ironically, it wasn't a killer croc or poisonous snake that was responsible - but rather the tail of a stingray...usually not considered a dangerous animal.

Irwin, an Australian, was best know for his wildly popular shows on the Animal Planet network, and even starred in his own feature film, Collision Course, back in 2002. He is survived by a wife, Terri, 42, daughter Bindi, 8, and 2-year-old son, Bob.
