Seinfeld Wins Top TV On DVD Award
The Fifth and Sixth seasons of Seinfeld won the "Best Of Show" prize at the 3rd annual TV DVD Awards, which were presented Wednesday night in Century City, California.Awards were also given out to titles representing individual decades. Lost (Season 1) got the award for the 2000s, while Seinfeld (Seasons 5 & 6) won for the 90s; Remington Steele (Seasons 4 & 5) for the 80s; The Bob Newhart Show (Season 2) for the 70s; The Munsters (Season 2) for the 60s; and The Adventures Of Superman (Season 1) for the 50s.
Lost: Season 1 also picked up an award for Best Bonus Materials, while The Simpsons: Season 7 nabbed the award for Best Animated Series; and Doctor Who: The Complete First Series won for Best British TV Series.
The awards were hosted by Charlene Tilton, who played Lucy Ewing on Dallas.
